Tempress Valve: Fixing Water Leaks
1. Replace Large O-Ring
- Remove old O-Ring from inside of valve cover.
- Clean area
- Lubricate new O-Ring with silicone-based plumber's grease
- Insert new O-Ring
2. Properly Install Parts
- Make sure O-Rings on both sides of cartridge are lubricated and in place
- Inset new Cartridge into valve body. The two Alignment Pins located on the rear of the cartridge must fit in the Locating Holes in the valve body.
- Make sure Cartridge goes in straight and O-Rings on sides do not shift
3. Replace White Washer and Small O-Ring
- Replace the White Washer and small rubber O-Ring in the center of the valve cover.
ā ļø At no time try to stop dripping by applying extreme force when closing the valve!
