The Sigma shower repair kit I purchased did not work. The center thermostatic piece that shipped has the wrong shape and cannot connect to the outer assembly. All other pieces were not unpacked because my plumber could not remove the old cartridges/ volume control cartridges. The repairs could not be made at all so I am hoping I can return the shower repair kit only for refunds. Please advise how I return these items for refund. Please send an RMA.
I have to source and install new different shower system. Not an easy project as this involves removing finished tile, cutting out frozen thermostat valve body, installing a new shower control system and repairing the tile.

The old valve and cartridges are FROZEN to the old thermo valve body in the wall that is soldered to the intake and distribution piping. These cannot be removed. They are frozen on from many years!
The repair kit I purchased cannot be used!
Additional parts are not what I need. I need to return this repair kit for a full refund!

If you have an automobile that needs repairs, and bring it to a repair shop that cannot fix it, you donβt buy a new car. Instead, you bring it to a different repair shop that is capable of repairing the automobile.
Your shower system requires maintenance. It can be fixed. You simply need the right installer to install the right parts. Like in all fields in life, different individuals have different capabilities.

If I was a novice in the industry, I would agree with you. However, because I have extensive experience with the valves and parts, and customersβ and plumbersβ experience with them, I know that the parts can be replaced. What are required are the right tools and the right technique.
Before giving up and returning the products, I recommend getting a second opinion by trying a different plumber who has experience with thermostatic shower systems.

I will have another certified plumber who knows thermostatic shower systems try to remove the frozen units from the wall shower ensemble. This does not preclude me from returning the shower repair kit for full refund.
I note the hot and cold sink faucet cartridges I also purchased were all replaced without any issues and those sink faucets are working just fine.
